Our dedicated Student Leadership Team visited Buckingham Primary School last week, supporting paired reading, comprehension and maths with younger pupils. Some returned to the classrooms and playgrounds they once knew, offering encouragement and patience as the children explored and learned.

It was inspiring to see our students giving back. Moments like these remind us that learning is about more than knowledge — it’s about connection, kindness and growth. As Ms Southgate, our Student Leadership Lead, said: “we’re incredibly proud of our Student Leadership Team and the kindness they bring to every opportunity.”

Jaya, a former pupil of Buckingham Primary and now a Year 9 student, reflected: “It was a heartwarming experience and it is great to know that I am helping children to build and grow a love for reading.”
