N.B. The school operates a two week timetable. On Week B, students will leave on Friday at 14:00.
Contact hours each week for students
The school is open to students between 8.00 and 16.00 every day during term time. Of this, students currently receive 31 hrs and 40 mins of contact time in week 1. In week 2 this is 30 hrs and 40 mins. The school operates additional flexible time for extra-curricular activities, interest groups, interventions etc. This is particularly relevant for KS4 students who may receive up to 5 hours per week extra time due to period 4 interventions. KS3 students are strongly encouraged to participate in up to 50 minutes in addition to the taught curriculum each week.
In line with government guidance which comes into effect in September 2024, Hampton High will be launching a consultation process in January 2024. This will scope out the proposal to move to a fixed 32.5 hrs delivered to all students each week. We will alert families to the consultation as soon as it is launched.
