- Bourne Education Trust
Our school is part of Bourne Education Trust (‘BET’) - a successful multi-academy trust made up of nineteen schools (plus a further two associate schools), across primary, secondary and special school phases in Surrey, Hampshire and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
Specialising in supporting schools to improve, BET continues to grow a community of high performing schools with the highest aspiration and dedication to achieving the best outcomes for their learners.
Led by Alex Russell, CEO, and supported by an executive team and board of directors, BET's 1100 staff currently educate approximately 8,000 pupils. Its main emphasis is on ensuring that each school is a great local provision for the community that it serves. By working together, the Trust ensures greater effectiveness, efficiency and capacity that results in as large a proportion of resources supporting frontline services as possible. The Trust prides itself on being one connected organisation working for the good of each other and the pupils that we serve.
As the Trust has grown, BET has created an additional layer of support for each school through membership to a geographic cluster of around 5 schools. Led by an executive leader, the BET clusters provide strong, strategic partnerships to facilitate and deliver our core purpose of ensuring outstanding outcomes for our learners. There is a collective ambition from all schools within our cluster to support and challenge each other, empowering our school leaders to drive change and improvement right into the heart of our school.
Bourne Education Trust is characterised by quality leadership and governance, teaching and learning, and strong outcomes. BET’s priority is its schools and the people within them.
