Recently, two groups of our Year 8 students had the opportunity to take part in

inspiring Flash Internships in central London — one with Systemiq, the systems change

company tackling some of the world’s toughest challenges, and another with The

Careers & Enterprise Company.

 

Both experiences included a tour of the office spaces and engaging work-related tasks,

giving our students a real glimpse into the world of work and the kind of impact they

could one day make.

 

Duc Tri shared,“I found it fascinating how much the company was doing for the

environment… What I enjoyed most was working in teams to solve problems around

food and energy. It made me realise how much difference innovative thinking can

make.”

 

Connor reflected,“It showed what having a job might really be like — and made me

think of new, creative ways to solve the biggest problems we face today.”

 

Liliana said,“It gave me a better perspective on the world of work… it helped expand

my mindset on life after school.”

 

Stanley added,“It really helped me start planning for my future and understand how

Flash Internships work. Seeing how particular jobs fit together gave me a clearer sense

of the paths I could take.”

 

And Arafat shared,“It gave me a better perspective on the world of work — instead of

seeing it as boring, it showed me how exciting and varied it can be. It really helped

expand my mindset about life beyond school.”

 

We’re so proud of our students for engaging so thoughtfully — they are truly the
