On Thursday, 13 Year 9 students went to visit the Tower of London as part of Jonny Brook’s Jack Petchey reward trip. It was awarded for outstanding achievement in history lessons this year. It was a very eventful and informative experience on an incredibly hot day in London. For everyone who went it was great fun although the day involved a lot of walking and lots of stairs in the tower itself!
Hameed Abdullah said, “It was very fun and I learned a lot of facts. My favourite bit was seeing everyone laugh at me because I ran through a fountain next to the Thames to cool off.”
Louis McCartney said, “It was really fun and I enjoyed walking around the inside of the main tower. There were suits of armour used by actual Kings and some great interactive games for us to play.”
Jonny Brook said “Mr Jones and Mr Sharpe did an amazing job and managed not to lose a single person! Without them the day would have been completly different so thank you.”
