Exam Results 2021
Arrangements for students receiving their GCSE results on Thursday 12 August are as follows.
Students will be welcome on site from 10am. They should proceed to the auditorium where they will be given their results. Before students leave the site, we would like to confirm their destination for post-16 study. A member of the careers team will be available on the day to provide support and guidance with this.
The awarding of Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs) was undertaken following a rigorous process of marking, moderation and data checking. Despite this, should a student believe that there has been an error in the internal procedures of allocating TAGs, they have the right to appeal the grade awarded.
The full details of the appeals process can be found in the Student guide to awarding: Summer 2021 below. Students must be aware that an appeal may result in either a grade being raised or lowered.
From GCSE results day, there will be an online appeal form which can be completed as soon as results are released. The window for appeals runs from 12 August to 1 September.
Students will be notified of the outcome of any initial appeal via email along with the further steps that can be taken should they wish to challenge the appeal decision.
We look forward to welcoming the Year 11s back for their results in August. Should you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
