Community Service and Enrichment
At Hampton High we believe that learning does not just take place in the classroom and that, regardless of ability, students should have the opportunity to develop their social and practical skills through an extensive range of extra-curricular activities. The School offers a varied programme of extra-curricular activities ranging from lunch time and after schools clubs; UK based and overseas visits organised by subject departments designed to enhance students understanding of a specific subject; participation in the Duke of Edinburgh Programme or annual Ski Trip.
The Enrichment Periods
In addition to the taught courses selected students also have one lesson each week to develop wider interests. In this time students can complete the Extended Project Qualification or they can choose from a range of alternative options that develop wider skills that are attractive to universities and employers.
Trips and visits
A range of residential and day trips are arranged to enhance learning and increase the learning opportunities outside the classroom; information regarding these is with the subject information. Alongside these are a range of trips which are available to all students. In the past these have included;
- Lessons from Auschwitz
- War cemeteries Trip
- Summer Expedition to Borneo
