Y7s train at HRBFC in preparation for the Borough Final

In preparation for the Year 7 football final against Grey Court, which takes place on Tuesday 16th May at The Beveree Stadium, the team had a great opportunity to have a training session with the Hampton & Richmond Borough FC Manager.

Stan Curd, Captain of the team, reports on the fantastic opportunity:

The Year 7 football team arrived at The Beveree, Hampton & Richmond Borough FC Stadium, buzzing with anticipation and excitement. Alan Dowson, ex professional and now Hampton & Richmond's first team manager, gave us an exclusive tour around the complex and how it is to live and breathe football. He gave us a guided tour of the first team changing rooms, the boardroom, the away dressing room and the medical room, treating us like real footballers which was a wonderful gesture. The training he provided was excellent: Alan made us work our socks off and he didn't let us rest until we had shown a bit of quality! It was clear that Alan wanted his players to be fit, but also to demonstrate technique, creativity and flair and he certainly put us through our paces. At the end of the session he wished us good luck for our final on Tuesday against Grey Court.

We were extremely privileged to spend time with Alan who provided such a great opportunity for our team to train at Hampton & Richmond.

On behalf of the school and the team, I would like to thank Alan Dowson for his taking the time to train the players.
