Sarah Beadell

Responsibilities: Curriculum; Science

As a firm supporter of the local community, it was important to her that her children attend their local secondary school if it was the right place to encourage, challenge and support their educational journey.  Determined that Hampton High be considered the secondary school of choice for all children living in Hampton, Sarah joined the Governing Body in 2016 to support the school on its journey to Ofsted 'Good' and beyond.

Alison Colenso

Responsibilities: Curriculum; Maths & English

Alison is currently the interim director of education at a multi academy trust of ten primary schools across London and Berkshire. She has previously served as one of his majesty’s inspectors for education at Ofsted. Alison has also worked in a number of primary schools and was the founding headteacher of one of Richmond’s most successful primary schools.

Rachel Cooper: Chair of Governors

Responsibilities: Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Rachel has two children at the school and joined the governing body in 2016, to support the school on its transformation journey. She balances being a mum alongside working for a large consultancy firm, to provide technology and operations advice on business development transactions.

Julie Park: Vice Chair of Governors

Responsibilities: Data

Julie became a governor in September 2023 and has 2 children, both educated at Hampton High.  She chose the school for her children because of the diversity of backgrounds of the pupils, holding a strong belief that children are most likely to become well rounded adults when educated in such an environment.  Being a governor gives the opportunity to continue supporting the school on its journey.  She runs her own tax consultancy business with a team of staff.

David Pease-Watkin

Responsibilities: Safeguarding; Behaviour and Attendance

David worked in the City for over 30 years and has lived locally since 1988. As his father was the headteacher of a primary school, he has always had a strong interest in the crucial area of education and he firmly believes in opportunities for all. He is delighted and honoured to support Hampton High at such an exciting time in its ongoing development.

Sandra Stanley

Responsibilities: Health & Safety

Sandra has lived in Hampton for the last 11 years and has 2 children attending local schools.  She is a global technology leader and joins Hampton High as a dedicated parent governor.  With a two-decade career in AI, she's passionate about using data and technology to enhance learning and provide opportunities for all students. 

Angela Thomas

Responsibilities: Disadvantaged Students; SEND

Angela has extensive leadership experience working across all phases of education. She was a special education advisor and head of learning development within a local authority and has worked on regional and national school improvement programmes with The Training Development Agency for Schools and The National College for School Leadership as a Regional Advisor.
