Library

The Library is a study environment and a place where students can come to enjoy reading. During the year we are involved in many activities, including Carnegie Award shadowing, literature quizzes with local schools, and World Book Day.

The library catalogue, Eclipse.net, is available online both in school and at home. There is also an app which can be downloaded to your phone or tablet. Here students can search the catalogue, reserve books, post reviews and much more. Ask the Librarian for your log in details.

Scholastic Book Club

The Librarian runs a Scholastic Book Club. Leaflets can be picked up in the Library or orders placed online at Scholastic.

Reading is fundamental

Students are encouraged to read a variety of books to develop their literacy skills and help them meet the challenges of life in the 21st century. Students should always have a book ‘on the go´ while they are in school and are expected to read at least twice a week during registration as well as at other times.

Accelerated Reader

All students in Years 7 and 8 are on Accelerated Reader™ (AR). This is a customised reading programme that meets the needs of individual students. Parents can view progress at Home Connect.
