Teacher in charge of Specialist Resource Provision – ASD students with mild to moderate learning difficulties
Salary: Annual Salary range £42,559 to £45,766 depending on experience (includes Outer London Weighting) with additional SEN1 allowance of £2,270 per year.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed Teacher in charge of our new Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) from September 2021, or earlier if possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on a new aspect of the school’s inclusive provision. The SRP is due to open to students in September 2021. We view this provision as integral to the school, as we build on the school’s “Good” Ofsted judgement (March 2019) to reach for outstanding for our students.
Applications are welcomed from teachers who have extensive experience of working with children with ASD in either a primary or a secondary setting. The successful candidate would be responsible for working closely with the senior leadership team, the local authority, and the governing body, to ensure that the provision is fully inclusive and provides as many access pathways into our mainstream as possible for the students, based on their individual needs. The successful applicant will demonstrate a real understanding of integrating students into mainstream lessons, as well as having a proven track record of positive outcomes for students on the autistic spectrum.
Hampton High is committed to the progress of all learners and has a comprehensive programme of professional development for all staff. The successful candidate would be joining our school at an exciting time. Student numbers are growing and we are enjoying an increasingly positive reputation locally. All visitors to our school comment on the high standards of behaviour, high levels of student engagement in lessons and the warmth and pride with which students and staff talk about their school.
Please apply by letter to the Headteacher, Rebecca Poole, no later than the deadline given below.
