We will be running a girls handball club on Tuesday lunchtimes, with opportunities to represent the school in handball tournaments. There will be two teams; Year 7/8 and also Year 9/10. All girls in Year 7-10 are welcome to attend.

Basketball season is now here, with fixtures and tournaments fast approaching. There will be a Year 8/9 girls basketball team. Training will be Thursday after school which any girls are welcome to come to. Please bring PE kit.

Pastoral Support Officer

Scale 5 point 25 (actual pro rata salary £22,372)

36 hours, 39 weeks (Term-time only)

To liaise with parents and carers regarding student behaviour under direction from the Pastoral Support Manager

To work with the Heads of Year, teaching staff and outside agencies to provide appropriate support for individual students or groups of students

To support Heads of Year with discipline and incidents of misbehaviour in the first instance and implement further action as required.

To carry out a range of administration tasks related to and in support of the above

To actively support with extra-curricular opportunities for students

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed Deputy Head of Science to join our supportive, enthusiastic and collaborative team from 1 April 2019, or 1 September 2019. Applications are welcomed from teachers of Science who have experience of teaching at KS3 and KS4, who are ready to take this next step into middle leadership. Experience of teaching Science at KS5 would also be welcomed.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to raising standards are essential.
