SRP SEND teacher
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed Teacher to work in our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) from 01 September, 2022. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new aspect of the school’s inclusive provision. The SRP opened to students in September 2021, and we are now seeking to appoint substantively to this post, following a successful start, with students integrating well into the mainstream. We view this provision as integral to the school, as we build on the school’s “Good” Ofsted judgement (March 2019) to reach for outstanding for our students.
Applications are welcomed from teachers who have extensive experience of working with children with ASD in either a primary or a secondary setting. The successful candidate would be responsible for working closely with the SENDCo and senior leadership team, as well as liaising with the local authority, and the governing body, to ensure that the provision is fully inclusive and deliver a bespoke curriculum based, on their individual needs, to support our student’s access into our mainstream lessons. The successful applicant will demonstrate a real understanding of integrating students into mainstream lessons, as well as having a proven track record of positive outcomes for students on the autistic spectrum.
The successful candidate will be joining the school at an exciting time. Hampton High is a mixed comprehensive school, which was judged “good” by Ofsted in 2019. The school is now full throughout KS3 with a waiting list of families. We are committed to real inclusion and are proud of our newly opened Specialist Resource Provision for ASD students. We have recently joined Bourne Education Trust, which has a commitment to nurturing talented colleagues, and we offer a comprehensive programme of professional development for all staff. All visitors to our school comment on the high standards of behaviour, high levels of student engagement in lessons and the warmth and pride with which students talk about their school. We would encourage you to read our Ofsted report prior to making an application.
Should you wish to visit the school in advance of making an application, please contact the Headteacher’s PA on: Kirsty.email@example.com
There may be an opportunity to work across more than one school within the Trust.
Hampton High and Bourne Education Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All staff will be subject to rigorous safer recruitment procedures an enhanced DBS disclosure.
